i just got a 1981 yamaha sr250 and the thing is that i am new to motorcycles and the bike has been sitting for about 7 years and then when i got it i started working on it right away i clean out everything and i put in all the fluids and then started it up the thing is that it started shooting up white smoke especially when i would throttle it... then i was told it need 2 cycle iol mixed with the gas and then i did that and it still shot out white smoke ... can someone tell me what the problem is ??? and also when i disconnected a battery the bike would automatically die ... is it a alternator problem ? does it even have one ?
