i just found a tank how do i clean it and test it for cracks?

i think its 5 gallons and i have no clue what it was used for before.
if i use to much bleach what will happen?
i just mix water and bleach and wipe it?
what if i dont have any bleach?
im going to use the water from my 55 gallon when that is fully cycled for this tank
 
wash it and look for cracksbleach is fine......if there is a leek where the two glass pannels connect ..u can use 100% aquarium safe silicone to reseal it...use single edge razorsro take the old sealent off...buy silicone at home depo..is cheaper than pet stores...i resealed my 60 gallon tank today
