from my dog!? There were two eggs left. I picked up the nest and put the remaining eggs back in it. Then placed it on my hottub cover away from my dogs reach. This must of happened less then 4 hours ago! I have no idea where the nest was and don't know what to do? Does anyone know what I should do! I would hate for the poor things to die!

Look for fragments of the nest in the nearest tree, and, if you can reach it, put the nest back. The bird's mother is really the best for them. If you can't, you must keep those eggs warm. Look up what species they are, put them in a box with a heat-lamp (in nest) and turn them over every day or so for a few more days. Soon they should hatch and then you have to keep them warm still, and take care of them until you can free them (where you found them). Do research on temperatures and humidity the eggs should be kept at, and hope they are alright. I've never hatched wild birds, but I've hatched plenty of chickens so I hope I helped. It is usually very easy to find food for them once they hatch; many people use dog/cat food mixed with water to form a paste with a couple drops of bird vitamins to feed them until they are old enough to have more solid food...Hope this helps and I hope they survive!
