I just bought a Wenger Swiss Army Watch that is 100M WR, with a nylon/leather band?

I just bought a Wenger Swiss Army Watch for about $200. The back of the watch says that it is 100M water resistant, but the band is made out of leather/nylon. Is it ok to get the band wet? Like take a shower with it on, go swimming, wash dishes, etc. I mean, the watch itself is 100M water resistant. Please Help, Thanks.
 
well its ok for the watch but for the band... i cant tell you... the band will usually become wet...smelly n not nice.
