ok, i bought a tundra and i new that it wasn't running and didn't have a battery. I towed it to my house from location. Well, the guy that i bought it from said it didn't go into gear sounds simple transmission. Well, i put a new battery on there and it cranked right up. Engine fine, maybe the starter hanging up a little but nothin major. well i put it in gear (forward) and i pressed the gas peddle and it moved then i put it in (reverse) and it moved i didn't take it around the block because i didn't have coolant so i left it went about my daily routine came back later and put coolant in radiator and in coolant tank. I also put fuel treatment in the gas tank because the gas was really old because the truck had been sitting up for two years. I cranked it up put it in neutral and checked transmission fluid it was full so thats good. i once agian put it in forward pressed gas peddle it moved and vice versa for reverse. i then shut it off and then told my friend to come with me to test drive around the block went to crank it up cranked right up put it in gear nothing didn't move not anything in drive, reverse, second, or low. when i pressed the gas peddle the engine just reved up. i could hear a weird sound to i guess coming from the transmission i am curious to how it worked for a little while and then stopped working and it obviouslly didn't work for the previous owner either it is an automatic transmission by the way
