...something.? I bought a new iMac a week ago from the Apple Store. I was trying to open up iMovie, but my iMac didn't come with it. Isn't iMovie a part of iLife, though? The computer did come with iDVD and everything else in iLife. Did Apple leave out my iMovie or did they just replace it with iDVD? If so, how do I fix it? Please help me!!!

Yes, the Mac's still have iMovie in addition to iDVD. If you go into the applications ("Go" and then select "Applications") you should see it, if not it was definitely missed during installation or somehow removed. If you have the install disk you can try installing it, or go back to the store and ask for assistance and they should be able to give you step by step instructions on how to get iMovie onto your iMac.

It's easy to find anything on a Mac.
It's called Spotlight.

Up in the upper left corner is a blue spot with a magnifying glass.
Type in iMovie and it should show up.

Spotlight will open a list of things with that name.

It's the Application you are seeking.

or
Go look in your Applications folder on the hard drive.
If you find it there, you can drag that icon to your Dock, if you want.

I assume it's just not on your Dock.
