Well I think you are still considered prior service and if so the Air Force doesn't accept prior service. The best thing to do is call an Air Force recruiter.
 
It will take crazy amounts of paperwork, but as long as you healed well enough and your USMC record doesn't show any other problems, you should be able to join another service.

It is hard to get into the military services right now, there are waiting lists for the Air Force, Navy and Coast Guard. Because of the economy everyone wants to join (guaranteed paycheck) and reenlistment is high because there is nowhere for vets to go after leaving the service.

...to join the air force? will there be a problem? I was discharged for a broke leg, which is obviously completely healed now, after 4 years, so I'm just asking.
