i installed a new abs sensor on my 98 Chevy blazer?

i installed a new abs sensor on my 98 Chevy blazer and the light on the dashboard is gone and i took the car for a test drive but when pressing the brake pedal it goes halfway down then freezes and you can feel it clicking. Any idea what’s going on with it? Of course when i disconnect the sensor the brakes goes back to normal but the light comes back on.
