I had been feeling off for awhile when i was diagnosed with stage 3A breast cancer in March of 2007. Went through a couple surgeries, chemo, radiation and tamoxifen (I'm off tamoxifen since May until they know whats wrong with me and yes, I was on Paxil at the same time). Hindsight told me that was why I had felt so bad. However I now feel worse than I did before the diagnosis. For about 3 weeks every month I am fatigued, achy,my arms and legs are heavy and weak, excruciating pain in my right leg, numbness in right arm and hand, visual problems, insomnia, spots in my mouth, red throat (no fever), sore left neck gland, etc.My cancer doctor has done all kinds of blood work and I had a bone scan. Another doctor ordered an abdominal ultra sound, and now a rhuemotologist has ordered more blood tests. Everything comes back normal except my B-12 level was lower.(235) so I'm taking 2500 mcg of B-12 and folic acid. It's been 2 weeks now, and I still feel awful! I don't have fibromyalgia, or periphial neuropathy. The cancer doctors say I'm in remission and to "move on". I wish I could but I hurt all the time. Could this really all be from a slightly lower B-12 level? I start to get my strength back and then it starts all over again. Does anyone have any ideas what could be going on?
