I hope I don’t sound dumb, but does anyone here know the difference between “Approach”
and “Methodology”? Writing a PhD proposal, the applicants are supposed to elaborate on their approach and methodology. I don’t understand their difference exactly. I’m interested in cultural studies and diaspora studies in particular and I’m going to apply a “post-colonial” approach to discuss certain aspects and themes in the works of some female writers. I don’t know what my methodology can be in such a context.
