I hooked up my new garden hose, but when I turned it on, a bulge formed near the

nozzle, eventually leaking? The hose is brand new. I hooked it up and went to water my garden. I looked down and saw a tumor like bulge on the hose right at the edge before the spray nozzle. Before I could turn the water off, water started spraying out of this bulge. Did I do something wrong in hooking this hose up, or is this just a bad hose that I need to return?
