I was thinking about purchasing some of those herb colonic kits and hope it clears up my skin. Does it work? Anyone know of a good kit to buy? Thanks!

but seriously, before i invest any amount of time or money into anything i really look around the internet and see what other people say about it... and NOT from biased websites.

Do not waste your time with colonics. You will not reap any benefits except those that may arise by the placebo effect. Like an earlier poster said, it's snake oil.

For your acne, see a dermatologist.

You have to understand...IF THERES A NON PRESCRIPTION ITEM THAT WORKS FOR ACNE.........EVERYONE....and I mean....EVEEEEEEERYONE WOULD KNOW ABOUT IT!

Stop wasting your time experimenting with unusual and awkward cures; someones tried them and failed them before. Your much better off seeing a doctor, getting a prescription, and putting an end to acne.

A true liver detox program can help with acne if your liver. Colonics basically make you poop alot to clean out your colon... however, the toxins in your liver won't be affected at all, and that is what you really need to work on...

A true liver cleanse cannot be found in an online kit... My doc has actually designed one that involves a 3-week, anti-inflammatory diet, which means no gluten, no dairy, no soy, no sugar, corn syrup, no meat of any kind, etc... her program also includes a high-quality probiotic, medical-grade liver detox supplement, and hemp-protein powder... The detox also encourages alot of relaxation, deep-breathing, and restoration...

The kits sold in boxes often rely on laxative herbs which don't to a thing for your liver... Your colon has no effect on your skin, the toxins come from the liver..

good luck!

Shanna

Thanks for your input

I'm hoping to hear back from someone with some actual information on the subject. Does colonics work? Did it work or fail for you or your friend or family meraber?

After doing research I have found that acne does have something to do with your diet. I did notice that when I was traveling in Europe I didn't have a problem with acne because I was eating a healthy diet and exercising so I'm wondering if doing a colonic and cleaning out my inside would help. This is my reasoning behind it, prove me wrong or right just help me. Thank you!

Thanks Shanna!

I was wondering if perhaps there was a liver detox sold in such stores as Whole FooRAB that work?

I did read up on some liver detox kits a while ago but like you said a lot of them proved to be false, especially the homemade ones that had you drink a lot of oil, so I never looked into it further.
