I hear the pontiac car brand is going to be discontinued from GM. Can I still buy one?

I'm looking to purchase a used vehicle and I really like the pontiac grand am..Can anyone explain to me what exactly happens if GM eliminates that brand of cars? Will I still be able to buy one?
