...and underline choice was gone? Driving me nuts. I am a teacher and I underline all the time so the kids see important things, even if they read nothing else!!!

I tried the shortcut tips and they worked, but when I click the little arrow, bold, italic, and underline have disappeared from the face of the earth!!!!!

Why did it just do this after years of great service....everything else is normal.

I want it on the toolbar so I can just 'click' it, if possible
 
In the far right at the end of the bar where it normally would be, there's a tiny arrow you can click. Click it and you should see Bold, Underline and Italicize. Click on each of them to add them back to your bar.

You could also just press CTRL+B to turn-on bold, CTRL+U to turn on underline, and CTRL+I to turn-on italicize.
