Each time it rains/snows heavy I have puddles that form in the foot area of my backseats. At first I thought it was leaking in from the door or window but we have figured out that it is coming in from the top of the trunk and leaking down under the seats and thru the bottom of the seats. The seats themselves are not getting wet, just the under part of the seats which connects the actual back seat and the floor.

What can I do to try to seal this up myself or what kind of a car place would I take it to have fixed?

Visually check the trunk gasket and if no rips or tears are found, have someone (who isn't claustrophobic) climb into the trunk with a flashlight while you run a hose over the suspected areas - once the leak is located, it's usually a simple task to either readjust the lid or reseal the seams.

Check the weatherstripping on the trunk & the fit of the trunk lid. Has the car been in an accident? It should not leak.
