bump em too hard it shuts? off and i am only using 1 channel which would be 1000 watts its either the ground or maybe some more powerful speakers and i also need to hook up my cap any ideas???

I can tell u right now that the subs are probably to small for that amp....What are the RMS WATTS for all.....that's the root of ur problem...Also is it a 2ohm amp and are the subs 4 ohm???if so the amp is shutting off to protect mode. Find out the RMS of everything and u match it up from there....If the subs are 4 ohm and the amp is 2 ohm u have to wire them in parrallel to drop down to 2 ohm....For instance (Right Sub - into Left Sub -) and same thing for the +....then u run from the subs into the amp into the 1 channel and everything is a match at 2ohms......but if the subs are too small or too big then the amp is gonna overheat very quickly and shut off..... Also the Capacitor is just a WASTE of money....
