I have to write a story with the environment as a theme. Can you help me pls?...

...More details inside..? The story has to be short (about a page of Word written font size 12 of Calibri/Times New Roman.

The theme, as already stated, is the environment.

The ending has to be positive (no 'the day after tomorrow doom' unfortunately!)

It can be realistic or not... as long as it's simple and easy to understand storyline.


NOW: what I would like to ask of you: do you have any plot ideas for the story? I am not expecting a fully written story, just the plot outline or a few ideas... which would be greatly welcomed.

I have already written a story, but it is too long, and I was asked to shorten it. But as it is, it cannot be shortened without compromising its quality. So I thought I'd write another one from scratch. But I have no ideas :/ Would appreciate a lot your help!

btw... this story is for a Christian journal... and it should have a moral to it if possible. as simple as possible, but no cliff hangers... literally or not please. thanks!
 
A girl and a boy are traveling round the world, they are inlove and decide to climb a volcano but the volcano is near to erruption, the earth is shaking and they are pertrified.
The girl manages to cling on, but after ten minutes slides and falls unconscious for about 30 meters. The guy is left on his own to fend for himself, determined to drag his girlfriend behind him, she is weak, he is noble.

What will happen?
