Introduction
In 1956 in Little Rock Arkansas, school segregation began. At this time a group called the Little Rock 9 was being bused into their high school. This was in an effort to make black and white people assimilate - it was all in vain however, as the white students were infuriated at the introduction of black students into their school. JOHNNY a junior and a captain of his football team befriend one of them and becomes close to JAMES. JAMES is a junior also, and is shy and hesitant about the friendship at first. As the white student’s rebel JOHNNY and JAMES come together to fight………….
SCENE
JAMES sits at the end of the first row in the school cafeteria. His head is bent over, and he stares closely at the floor.
JOHNNY slowly walks up to him and asks: “Hey why the long face, the food is not all that bad.”
JAMES looks up with a smile on his face: “Na man it’s not that.”
JOHNNY: Then what, what could be possibly be wrong?
(feel free to give me suggestions, i really need help with the scene)
I only need to write one scene and an introduction, the title is called "Johnny Be Good" i also have to come up with a three line theme song. so any suggestions and comets would help a lot.
