I have to write a paper on a topic to do with racism, civilization and free trade....

...What topic do you suggest?
The topic has to encompass those three things. I already have my own sources.... Ron Paul is still kicking? wow..
It's one of those assignments where you have to demonstrate knowledge, which is why it is so open and not limited to one.
Black jokes? I'd actually prefer to pass. I'm looking for a topic here, not a thesis statement.
 
Wow you must have a good teacher.

Racism caused the civil rights era in the 60's, which caused a knee jerk reaction which is still interfering with capitalism today. Affirmative action, welfare, medicaid, and everything else which was passed because people felt racism was an issue capitalism couldn't solve alone, and needed government assistance. This without question has interfered with capitalism.

Then you have free trade which of course is a right wing capitalist wet dream. Basically you have capitalist like myself, who would like to create a sink or swim system, where the strong survive and the weak don't. We support free trade, then you have liberals who want to interfere with capitalism, and tell people who they have to hire and buy services from, and use racism as their argument.

Write a paper on the war on socialism in American society. Ask your teacher if you can also include trial lawyers, and unions, along with racism as major obstructions to capitalism. You can also right about how Martin Luther King Jr. was assassinated as he was trying to support a sanitation workers strike, since Unions and free trade go hand in hand.
 
I think an interesting topic that could be used to tie in all three of those is the current Civil War in the Sudan.

Also that is probably not a topic that your teacher is expecting.
