i have to do a debate for a class, i'm so nervous!?

I am in A.P English/European History, I have to do a debate ... I'm not sure how it works ...
My Resloution is ... "Polictical stability was the main reason that the industrial revolution started i England"
I don't get how to go from that .. we have to be prepared to debate pro and con!
