So I met this guy 8 months ago at school and I always thought he was cute. I see him each time I am at my local market because he works there. We never talked until I approached him several months and said he looked familiar we talked. Even after this conversation he never smiled at me, never said hi and I thought that he didn't like me. I thought I saw him glaring at me on an occasion.
At an art gallery thing I ran into a co-worker of his who basically approached me while I was talking to some friends of his. He informed me that the guy was very shy and actually very nice.
Next time I saw the guy at the store I approached him and he asked if my name was Mary I said yes and he was incredibly nice to me. I was shocked because I thought this guy hated my guts!
Next time I saw him I was at anotehr cash registrar and he came over said hi and started to bag my groceries. "this guy definitely likes me I thought" (his co-worker was rolling his eyes while we talked)
2 weeks ago I asked him out and we exchanged numbers, he said he had a lot of work to do (final exams) but if he had time he'd call. he never called, hasn't contacted me (been 1 day) and I just think he'll never call me.
I texted him a day after and he apologized and said he had a lot of hw. I invited him to a party I was hosting and he said he was interested in going but he hasn't replied to anything i've sent afterwards (only 2 messages)?
-one was asking him if he had finals on friday and the other was a link to my party(invite)
I kind of feel like he has a hard time saying no. He does not contact me on his own (he's really shy too) but apparently does not text back his friends either. Maybe he's depressed too?
