I have some questions about car audio.?

I'm starting to look for some nice car audio equipment for my car & I have a few questions. First, what's the difference between a high speaker, a mid speaker, & a normal speaker? Second, would I need an amplifier for a high or mid speaker? Lastly, does a high or mid speaker hook up just like a regular speaker?
 
A high speaker will hit high notes louder than others... 8 inch 6.5 inch subs... mid speakers will hit mid notes... around 50hz to 100hz... reguar/low end subs will pound the lows like 20hz to 60hz... you will need amplifiers for all of these speakers... they will not function correctly otherwise. all speakers hook up the same... however you may choose to wire them differently... depending on the ohm of the voice coil/coils.. you can wire to 8 4 2 .5 ohm depending on the number of subs and the ohm of the voice coil... i suggest you look into soundstream equipment... all very good equipment and very reliable...
