I have some legal questions about a car accident...?

My friend was driving my car too fast, and we got in a pretty bad accident, and now my car needs a lot of work done. He told me that his parents would pay for everything, but it's been over a year and I haven't heard anything from him.
Does he have to pay for the damages?
Also, since it's been over a year, does he still have to pay or did I wait too long?

If you can prove that your friend did the damage, then you have every right to collect damages.

It appears as though he/she doesn't want to pay, and neither do her parents, you have the option of filing a claim (the court would depend on how much damage was done).

Your insurance company may cover the damages if you had full coverage.
