I have recently purchased a jl w3v3 and want to know which amp to buy for max potential?

- Would it be a bad idea to cross brands eg. to get a kicker or alpine?
- i have found a 5 channel amp which has max power of 210 Watts x 1 @ 4 Ohm or 420w x 1 @ 2 ohm for the sub. unfortunately i dont knw if this meets the w3 potential! but on the plus side with the kicker 5 channel i can hook up my mtx splits instead of buying 2 seperate amps. . what would be the best thing 2 do or go about this..
 
you left out a few things. like if its total watts of 420? if it is then no you cant do it. you wil have to get a 400 mono block amp for just the sub and a 4 channl for your inside speakers. if its like a 1000watt 5 channel amp then it should be fine for your whole system. you need atleast 400rms to put that sub to its potential
