...have 158 unread messages? What is the problem!?

I selected all unread messages and set them all to unread. But annoyingly the Inbox tab is bold and saying I have 158 unread messages.

What is going on with the account!?
Refreshed, logged out and logged back in, clicked on an email and went through them.
Still no change
