i have over 1000 watts of car audio power should i get a new high output alternator?

i hear that if you have over 1000 watts RMS of car audio power you should upgrade your alternator to a high output alternator...my subs push out 800 watts RMS my radio pushes 200w all my speakers 210 Rms havent decided on an amp yet but thats already over 1000 should i up great the big 3, high output alternator and what wattage for a 03 chevy cavalier 2.2 ls sport, and upgrade the battery? so i dont run any problems?
 
That would be a peak of 83A. Don't really know what your car comes with for an alternator but I would assume it's about 90A. You should be able to get aways with it. If not you'll realize quite quickly if you need a bigger alternator. Either by dimming headlights or a car that won't start. Basically before you shut if off check your battery meter and hope that it's accurate. Make sure it's in the normal range before you shut the car off and if it's not turn the sound off and bring the rev's up until it hits normal.

But if you plan on going any bigger than that you will start to have problems for sure.
