I have one 1200 watt Sub woofer. What kind of Amplifier do I need? to make it as loud

as it gets.? I want a good enough amplifier to make these subs sound loud. Not like "they are going to blow" loud. But almost to the limit. How many watts would I need? 500? 700? 1000?

ALSO

I only have one sub. So what does it mean when the sub woofer has 1 or 2 or 4 channels? what is that for? And what would be good for my sub?
 
hi there you need a mono amp a 2 or 4 channele is for tweeters and mids you can look at the mono jl 1000/1 amp that will kick ass or get 2 jl 500/1 i have them and there great plus jl puts out more then they say hope i answer ur ?
