There really is no solution. A doc will stick you on birth control to regulate the periods, but irregular periods are actually very common. I will sometimes go four months without a period, and I have always been like that. I tend to have a lot of stress though. I have found that when I am stressed and I work out a lot, my period will start back. You could try that, I don't know if it would work. Our bodies are all different, so don't fret over it too much unless you start having severe symptoms that you feel you should go to the doc over. It's very normal to have irregular periods. Unfortunately, there really isn't an alternative to the doctor for this one.
