I have a 1999 buick park ave everything in it is digital so it tells me how many miles i have, when my tires low, when i need a oil change, and my battery state etc...well the battery usually stays about 13.5 well sometimes ill be driving down the road and the battery state will drop to like 11.0 and my car will shut off and lock up.ive got my transmission tested,my battery, and my alternator tested and there all fine. i have no idea what is making it just die for no reason..can anyone help me?please i love my car and i want to get it fixed.im just lost... thanks so much =)

Baby GIrl,
Did you have the voltage regulator tested also? It may be the cause. Also, have a technician hook up a diagnostic machine to your onboard computer. It will show codes, one might be the answer to your problems. Good luck.

Have your battery and alternator wires checked clean and repair as needed also check chassis ground if all is good bring it to a good shop so they can read any stored codes might have an ECM problem or wiring.

Something is loading the system and draining the battery and over loading the alternator. Check to see if the radiator fan is coming on when this happens. If so then you need a new fan motor. They require alot of voltage to ramp up and if the bearings are going bad that can cause the power loss. My 97 cougar is doing the same thing, when the fan turns on.

well... it is a problem with your computer chip. that might be a easy fix or..... not so fun to fix either way it is a problem with the computer.it is telling your car that somthing is wrong and needs to shut down
