I will try to make this as short as I can. I figured I'd write down what I have had, what symptoms I'm experiencing and what tests have been done. I have been crying everyday for awhile now because I am a full-time College student and I can't even go to class at times and my grades and life are suffering cause of it. My doctor seems to disregard all the symptoms I've had in the past 3 years and more and more have been adding on to them. I'm so very frustrated because it is so hard on my life. Please help I'm only 21 and desperate for an answer.
So here is the info:
When I was 16 I was hospitalized for a severe kidney infection.
Also, I was never checked for endometriosis but I'm almost positive I have it considering during periods I would go to the emergency room every month because I would vomit, couldn't walk, pass out and they'd have to give me morphine. I found something called the Depo Provera shot which for the past 5 years has made my life amazing. Now they want to take me off the shot, and I have an appt. this friday about to rip their heads off because when I come to the end when it's time for my next injection, I am dazed, dizzy, nauseous, fatigued..I missed this entire week of school and I feel terrible to the point I can't even function.
Besides this, these are the common symptoms I have (depo or not):
I have fallen in the shower, gone completely paralyzed
loss of vision, double vision
i get dizzy and sometimes can't stand
numbness and paralysis from time to time
incredible pain in my joints (i can barely write in class anymore, and my fingers look deformed, I'm planning on being checked for rheumatoid)
i get severe sharp shocks that feel like im being electrocuted going up through my arms, hands and legs.
excruciating pain in the joints and legs, it's really unbearable.
my eyebrow hair fell out at 17 years old and so did some of my actual hair
if i eat things that are sweet (candy, soda, etc) i will pass out and get deathly ill (i was test for diabetes they said i don't have it, but i am hypoglycemic which is weird because usually youd need sugar for that)
i have acid reflux and an ulcer (probably nothing related just giving all my history)
my hands and legs are constantly shaky and wobbly
i get severe migraines terribly but only on the left side of my head (seen my neurologist 3 times, he seems to say its just a headache and wants to put me on medication where the side effects are suicide..i've been depressed on all of them and they dont help !!)
i wake up nauseous every morning
i am tired and run down every day no matter how much rest i get
i truly feel like i am a 21 year old in an 80 year olds body.
i can never quench my thirst, i've usually drank about 8 bottles of water in about 15 minutes, and once a gallon in 3 min. (i usually will get sick because of it but i still need more because i feel incredibly thirsty).
And sadly enough, there are more things but I felt I'd only list the things that happened to me either every day or at least once every few months. I feel like with all these problems I have more than one thing going on, but honestly, my doctor doesn't even listen and to me this is ruining my life. my professors are mad because i have nothing to tell them, there is no diagnosis for me..
I have had mri's, blood tests, all kinds of things done on me..are they missing something ?? Please help..if a doctor sees this, or anyone who knows a very educated one please pass this along..i can't live my life like this, I feel like i'm deteriorating.
Thank you so much..
Samantha
