I have literally hundreds of books. Can I put them in my blue recycling bin?

I can't take them to the library or anything. I'm limited in the time I have, and that would take me forever.

Can I just drop them off in my recycling bin? I heard that you just need to take the cover and glue off, but I don't know if that referred to the recycling bin.
 
load them in a car and drop them at salvation army. takes like five minutes to donate, and literature that you are bored of doesnt go to waste!
