...internet will it cost me more? this may be a stupid question but i don't know a lot about how the internet works i am still using the same modem but i don't have the Virgin media set up disk so what difference if any will this make please only answer if you can give me the info i need
 
You don't need an installation disc now. Just connect the computer to the modem. Don't switch on the computer yet but just switch the modem on.

Wait a minute while the modem boots and then boot your computer. When that has finished booting just click on your browser and the Virgin Home page should come up.

Your connection and setup is automatically done through the modem and the internet now.
