i have had no snails in my fish tank thanks to my clown loach (which has since died)?

for about 8 months now! ...nothing in my tank has changed but suddenly there are 10-15 baby snails! How the heck did that happen?????
but i had no snails for 8 months!? How long do the eggs go before they hatch? surely not THAT long?
 
snails reproduce. even though you couldnt see any, doesnt mean their werent any. if your talking about those little black snails, their eggs are almost impossble too see. they are clear like a jelly, super tiny, and can be anywhere in your tank!
