Leave them alone. You don't want to keep them as pets because they carry diseases and fleas. They might not be field mice, they could be deer mice. People die from exposure to deer mice droppings. If you really want mice for pets, go to the pet store and get white mice. But I would recomend gerbils as they don't stink like mice and rats.
