Welcome to Geiko. All they are required to pay you is the fair market value of the Harley at the time of the loss. Yes, they can make you do all that other crap. When you do customization to a vehicle you must declare the value of the work to the insurance carrier in order to claim payment for in when filing a claim.

insured it for 13500.00 instead of? 7500.00. I have been paying on this policy for 3 years without incident. My bike was stolen out of my garage and now Geico doesn't want to pay the 13500.00, they want to pay book 7500.00. They now want me to try and find the mechanic who customized the bike, the old owner, and all this extra crap to prove it was actually worth 13500.00. I was never asked this in the beginning and they had no problem taking my payments for the last 3 years. Does anyone have any advice on how to handle this. Do they have to pay me what my policy was for or what they decide I should get? Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.
