I recall reading, some time ago, about a book whose covers were made of sandpaper, so as to destroy the other books on the shelf with it.
I've forgotten who made it, and what it was called. It's been bugging me for days now.
Here's what few scraps I can remember:
The creator was French, either 19th or 20th century.
He also made an abstract wargame (the name of which I have also forgotten) which involved lines of communication on a small grid.
