I have brought a dog pole for attaching to the bike but how far or fast

should i be going etc? I have a staffordshire B.terrier and tonight we have been on a bike ride she is attached to my bike using a pole lead, we did 2 miles at approx 9-15 kph the dog had to jog fast walk/run, she was panting, 7pm cool out. Just wondering how far or how fast i should push her/take her. She is used to just a leisurely stroll nothing fast, she isnt over weight etc.

hey, i have a staffy too, and when we got him he was really unfit - couldn't run very far at all! after a few bike rides he picked up and now he can just run for hours. we got him a harness and he would be happy pulling us too. you will know when she is tired because she will slow down, but panting is fine. don't push her just let her set the pace, in no time she will be able to run farther though. well done for really working your dog!

Useing them puts both you and the dog at risk of bing in an R T A
I would not use one myself do to this risk
