...gardening tips to cover it up? ? It's an Army Green. I'm not sure of the technical name for "the box."
 
It is illegal to cover the boxes, or even enclose them with plantings. They are required to be kept accessible at all times. There should be markings in the box that state this. Many people do plant around them, but it is illegal. Hope this helps.
 
You could cover it with a fake "rock". I've seen them in the SkyMall catalog, and I'm sure there are lots of other home improvement sites and catalogs that carry them. There are several sizes and styles of "rock" covers. Check with Time Warner Cable, though, to see if they'll allow you to completely conceal their box.
Another trick is to make a planting garden surrounding the box, using a bit of decorative fencing and some low shrubs that conceal the box. You could choose flowering perennial plants that do well in your area.

It's a great opportunity to change an eyesore into eye candy!
