I have an opportunity to upgrade CHEAP from T|E to T|5 - should I do it?

I bought a T|E 2 months ago and I have a small window of opportunity to upgrade to a T|5 this morning for about $150 plus I can get the $50 rebate back too. so in the end it would be about $100 difference for me.

I LOVE the T|E but my issues (or wishes not met w/ the E) are:

* unable to ever upgrade to wifi if I wanted to

* programs that I have that ONLY run on the handheld (not off my 512mb card) are eating up any space left on the card! I can't move them because they stop working on once transfered to the card (ugh!).

* battery life on the T|E is extremely poor


If you were to compare the E and the 5, based ONLY on the 3 things mentioned above, what would you suggest?

what'st he batt. life like on the T|5 ? I don't want to put out extra cash for the mobility kit, so I am basing in just on the actually recharg. battery in the t|5

also, does the wifi eat the battery in the 5 ?


******* my window of opportunity is only for about another 30 minutes, I am hoping someone is on here and can give me a hand... even putting out the extra $150/$100 bucks is a big decision...

is it truly worth it?

Well, I am leaving now to go ahead and take a chance on the offer.

I was hoping to find out about battery life, if nothing else, but my searches and posting were not fruitful at this time.

Honestly, it is a good move at that price. Just make sure that you do a FRESH install of everything. I did my move from TE to T5 and if you try to beam files, or copy from a card, you can end up with a corrupted saved preferences file that gets icky with teh T5 and causes crashes.

Oh yea, I moved on a good deal too. But I wanted the better battery life, RAM, and BT.
 
Hi, yeah the T5 is really nice! much faster and BIGGER!

I have been having TERRIBLE syncing issues though.

I am acutally to the point where I am about to TRADE DOWN and go back to my TE (have to go exchange it)

Not sure what to do!!!!!!!

I am posting in another post about this.....

it's really really upsetting though!
 
Hi again...

still having sync issues

I did disable all firewall and antivirus software and tried a reinstall but it's still not completely syncing and finishing correctly.....


still need XP PRO to automatically FIND MY DRIVERS when I hookup to the usb port on my laptop (its a PC ...btw). The deal is that I plug it in (the PALM T5 to the laptop ) and then push the hotsync button. I can see the hotsync icon RUNNING on my PC but the PC says that it detects a NEW HARDWARE and it searches for my PALM drivers... which are my HOTSYNC things... then it finds it and the sync just starts up from there..... WHY DOES IT DO THIS.....

then it does find it and works... sorta


... when finished syncing it says it cannot find the hslog20.dll

it's a weird error.

HELP :(
