I have an older (10+) yrs Magnavox VCR. ?

I had to get a RCA UNIVERSAL remote for it because the other one died. It programs the TV, the VCR etc and works fine EXCEPT that I can not CLEAR the programs that are already programmed. I'm afraid to program more shows until I figure out how to clear the programs.
