Here's the deal, I went on a phone binge last week when my Imagio was frustrating me with its continuous lags, stuck hardware buttons and terrible battery life. All that said, this is the best Windows Mobile fan I've used, and in general I'm a Windows Mobile fan. I'm just getting a bit jealous that my Twitter, Foursquare and you-name-it app stinks in comparison to Android (iPhone not an option for me -- can't stand iTunes or ATT service).

On a lark I bought a Droid Incredible off CL (only $300) and am doing a 30 day T-Mobile trial with an HD2. Both these phones are great in their own ways. I figure that I just want to use one for several months until WP7 comes out.

Normally this would be super-easy, I would just keep the Droid Incredible. The HD2 is a super-phone, but a bit bigger and I'm not sure I'm excited to leave VZW. I have such an awesome contract that T-Mobile would actually be a few bucks more a month for the same service level!

But here's what complicates it for me. The Droid Incredible is fast, snappy and in general fixes my complaints with my Imagio, however I'm bummed out by a few things with it:
1) Exchange in Android -- it's just not as good, even the unlock is clunkier
2) No GSM -- I like that with the Imagio and HD2 as I do travel overseas a few times a year
3) It's really light which is great, but also feels a bit cheap in the hand
4) The keyboard isn't as good as using Swype with Imagio or the same keyboard on the larger HD2 - it's too sensitive and tuned improperly

So gents, what would you do? Three choices:
1) Droid Incredible. Try out Android and recommend me some apps to get over the things that can be fixed
2) HD2 and T-Mobile. Go whole hog with HD2 and tell me that pretty soon Android and WP7 will be available on it, and all my annoyances with WM can be solved with HD2 and a custom ROM
3) Imagio. Keep on flashing my Imagio to find something that doesn't piss me off

Thanks for your help! Having a lot of trouble deciding here.

Keep the Droid Incredible. So much great apps and it will get better when Froyo and Flash comes out for it.

Get rid of the Imagio and keep the HD2 as a backup for traveling abroad. WP7 will never be in it but in the future you can ROM it with Android.

HD2 for me works great few things i dont like but over all it works great. I got a bunch of games for free i use the wifi tethering camera is really good, hackable theirs a free gps. theirs alot of mods

I'm just too indecisive. Like the Droid a lot, but just back from Europe and have some international travel ahead of me so the HD2 would be pretty useful in that respect.

Although I'm still waiting for my DI, I plan to add the app for Swype to it. That should take care of #4. I am hoping Exchange will improve when Froyo hits. right now I'm waiting for my DI to be shipped but may decide to wait for the Motorola Shadow (which you may like as well - larger screen etc - you may want to check out the Shadow thread).

Just sold the Incredible, mainly since I was able to sell it for $175 more than I bought it for... Will probably just keep the HD2, and not feel bad about the ETF since I'll make that up from profit in selling the other two phones :D

I only say probably because I have some issues leaving VZW after five years of great service. But, if TMo doesn't do it for me, then I'll switch right on back.

Incredible was clearly a better device due to software, but felt very cheap in the hand for me.

Three things made me go for HD2:
1) Int'l roaming
2) Overall build quality and beauty -- better than Incredible and Imagio
3) Battery life -- better than Incredible and Imagio

Now if XDA helps get Froyo or WP7 on the HD2 I'll be quite pleased :)

Should have gotten a Nexus One then. Better fit and finish than the HD2 thanks to its aluminum unibody. While supporting T-Mobile's 3G, It also has the Asian and European 900 and 2100 3G support, which means you can roam on 3G with much greater coverage and speed. Best yet, the phone is unlocked which means if you can avail of prepaid data SIMs, you get full internet data on the phone without paying expensive roaming charges.

Nobody knows what fun it is to actually use a real smartphone unless you're in a foreign city, with a data connection whose charges you never need to worry, with Google Maps and Augmented Reality apps like Layar and Wikitude to explore the new world.
