The question is (I don't understand how to answer this so please try to help me in anyway possible, thank you):

Provide 2 proposals (however long in length you prefer) that would somehow either recognize the "unrecognized contribution" of caregivers or convert it into something we do recognize in our economy.

Thank you very much.

Unrecognized contribution of caregivers means the contribution is unpaid. It does not count to calculate GDP. It's in an informal sector such as wife gives care to her husband. The same services will be recognized if it goes to the market. The caregiver get paid and pay tax. It's in a formal sector.

The problem is in your premise, that caregivers are making an "unrecognized contribution" -- they are earning money, they provide the care, people appreciate the care. Not everything is going to be recognized by large incomes or status, so don't expect caregivers to get their recognition by earning high salaries.

Many professions don't earn a lot, but they are appreciated and recognized.

So focus on your premise that caregivers are not recognized for their contribution -- that is simply a false premise, and in logic, given a false premise, pretty much anything can follow.
