There's a horrible lack of detail in this question. First, most phones don't have wi-fi. They have Bluetooth, but only a few have wi-fi. Second, even if your phone did have wi-fi, there are many operating systems for phones and many types of wi-fi. We need to know the model of phone you're using and what type of wi-fi you're using, such as 802.11a, b, g, n, and what sort of encryption is being used such as WEP, and all that stuff.
