I have a WiFi radio which is able to tune into my home WiFi signal for radio stations, the radio picks up FM & DAB fine & clear, however while on WiFi setting, the speaker emits a slight hum/ticking, can only be heard on really low volume, on speaker its not really audible, but with my headphones plugged in, it can be annoying, as i listen to talk radio shows, at low volume!

Would it be possible to open up the radio & rewire the audio wires with quality (thick) wiring, to reduce the wifi interference? or are there other options.

I should point out that the radio was a gift & im unable to return it, its a Binatone tranciva

Thicker wire wont make to much of a difference
either contact the company or maybe move closer to your wireless router

Moving the router shouldn't make any difference.

I am not sure that the wiring will either, besides it will stuff up the warranty.

Whilst Binatone are lower end they are a reputable company and should be able to explain what is happening.

It might be the quality of the broadcast and the sample rate used- which you can do nothing about.
