I have a weight history question. I need every input please!?

Hello everyone, I am 6'1 male. I noticed I put on some weight when I looked at the mirror and didn't like what I saw. I also was becoming tired easily. So I decided to pick arbitrarily a 5 mile a day run /5days a week. Of course, I couldn't even complete 300 yards without stopping due to lack of breadth. I however made the decision to complete the 5 miles, Be it by crawling, walking, running or a mixture until I was able to run the 5 miles without a break. Now, over 21/2 months into this routine, I can run 3.5 miles before I take my first walk break. Here is my weight progress:
Day 1 (4/28/09)- 220lbs
Day 7-217lbs
Day14-216lbs
Day21-215lbs
Day28-212lbs
Day32-210lbs
Day40-208lbs
(6/10/2009)-205lbs
(6/16/2009)-204lbs
Today(7/6/09)-199lbs.
How am I doing? Any suggestions for improvement. Btw, I try to put an effort in watching my diet.
