...have a 90l tank and fluval 2? i have a fluval +2 filter 90l tank 20gallons- 2clownloaches,2 bronz corys,1 gorami,1 platy,1 soword tail,2 rummynose,7 tetra i have gravel 4 live plants filter pads are pretty new what is the problem???

Cloudy water is normally a result of over feeding, which produces little bugs called infusoria and makes your water appear milky/cloudy. Don't feed for a day, then reduce your feeding after that and it should start to clear up on its own.

The other thing is a Fluval 2 is just a touch on borderline for 90litres. You could think about adding another small filter or upgrading to a Fluval 3.

Your tank is full at present, but given time two clown loaches will outgrow 90litres.

Another option is buying filter aid, I found it great it helps to get rid of cloudy water.

Hi i had the same problem but mine seems to be the gravel. Its turning into powder. You will have cleaned the filter.I would keep cleaning the gravel.I have been doing 4 buckets every other day.Tank seems to have cleared.
Good Luck

some times in the summer you will get more suspended particles in your tap water do to algae growth and the water supply being used more so the particles don't have time to settle out.check your tap water, fill a clear glass and hold it to the light and see if you can see anything.if not for some reason you tank may be going through a mini cycle. have you added any new fish lately?

Cloudyness is usually caused by Ammonia build up in the water. Go to the pet shop and by a little bottle of 'Am Guard' which removes Ammonia (cloudyness)
