put on Snow tires for $500? First of all. Is it ok to even put on snow tires on a Prius with the regenerative braking and super light rims and all? Second, isn't $500 alot to spend on two tires? or am I supposed to get 4 to match them? Thanks

I'm sure there would be no problem putting snow tires on your Prius, as long as they are the right size. $500 for two of them seems a little spendy. You might check online with tire dealers in your area to see how much they want for the same tires.
To find out what size you need, look on the side if the tire to fine out what size you have and check for snow tires the same size.

Yup. Snow tires are actually better than the stock Goodyear Integras on the standard edition Prius, which are too slick and causes the Traction Control to kick in too easily.

You probably want to do some research into which brand of snow tires to get though-- Don't just take what the dealer gives you.

Go to Priuschat and ask your fellow Prius owners which snow tires they recommend: http://www.priuschat.com

Good luck.
