I have a Toyota collora Le with a K&N air intake?

I have a Toyota Collora le with a K&N air intake 69 series Typhoon Kit but my engine light is on how do i fix that? could it b cuz i have a glass pack muffler to?
 
Autozone scans check engine lights for free for obdII vehicles (96-up). Get the trouble code, DONT let them talk you into buying anything because they usually hire high school kids that have no idea what the trouble code actually entails. For example, they could see a p0171 code which is system lean bank 1, and try and sell you an oxygen sensor, which 90% of the time, ISNT the problem. And as far as the check engine light flashing, i have NO idea where someone would've gotten an alternator problem out of that. The only time a CEL will flash is if you have an engine misfire. Just cause its not flashing doesnt mean it's not serious. Get it checked out and post the trouble code on here.
