iPhone does not support T-Mobile 3G. You can use the Edge of T-mobile on the iPhone though but you have to change the cellular data APN to one of t-mobile inside the network settings of the iphone.

Here are some APN that i know of try one to see which one works. Remember this is EDGE and not 3G. Try the last one first.

T-Mobile Internet: Internet2.voicestream.com
T-Mobile Internet VPN: Internet3.voicestream.com
Web2Go/t-zones: wap.voicestream.com
BlackBerry: blackberry.net
Sidekick: hiptop.t-mobile.com
T-Mobile G1: epc.tmobile.com
 
3G for the iPhone will not work on T-mobile. You can not get on T-mobile's 3G network unless you have a phone that they sell that was made for it. The list of phones that works on their 3G sucks.

(it is unlocked and jailbroken)And when I try to turn on the 3g on the iphone I lose all signal but when I turn it off i get full signal.
Is there any way to get 3g on the iphone with my t-mobile sim card or can I cancel my data plan and just use the wi fi only on the iphone?
