I've got changed several times today, and noticed nothing until I went to have a shower half an hour ago and realized I have an angry rash around the pelvic area and on the ankles. The skin is quite irritated and itchy and raised in small lumps in said areas.
It may just be a heat rash, but I have had heat rashes before and they're never that severe. It's not eczema; I used to have eczema but as I've grown older I've grown out of it, in any case it isn't that. The only thing I can think of that may have suddenly cause this is that we have bought two (live) chickens today (as pets and for the eggs) and I have handled them, although I washed my hands thoroughly afterwards.
After having a shower the rash seems to have disipated somewhat, so it probably is just a heat rash, but if anyone with medical knowledge recognises any symptoms here, the last thing I want is to be wandering round with an infectious rash.
